HYDRA is TALOS's counter-drone response family — a layered system that detects, classifies, tracks, and responds to hostile or unauthorized drones, from a handheld device to an autonomous interceptor.
An explicit ARM / SAFETY / LOCKED state machine means no autonomous engagement: every response action requires human authorization.
Vision-Based Detection & Long-Range Tracking
The Personal Launcher's onboard camera identifies and classifies drones at range, with long-trace faint-target tracking for targets too small or distant to classify directly. A built-in RF Remote-ID sniffer adds passive drone-ID decode alongside the visual detection.
Safety-Gated Authorization
Explicit ARM / SAFETY / LOCKED state machine ensures no autonomous engagement — every action requires human authorization.
Fleet C2 Console
Fleet management console co-deploys with an AEGIS-SHIELD command post, or runs standalone.
Autonomous Non-Lethal Interception
Net deployment or fly-by disruption for hostile drones, under operator authorization. Not a lethal or kinetic weapon system.
